DIY Programming for kids
While we know that it’s important for students to learn how to navigate today’s tech-saturated world, many teachers aren’t experienced in computer science and get overwhelmed when trying to start. Code.org created “Hour of Code” which is a one-hour introduction to computer science. The "Hour of Code" is designed to demystify code and show that computer science is not rocket science—anybody can learn the basics," said Hadi Partovi, founder and CEO of Code.org. "Over 100 million students worldwide have tried an Hour of Code. The demand for relevant 21st-century computer science education crosses all borders and knows no boundaries." You can learn more about this at http://HourofCode.com. The goal of Hour of Code is to spark interest in students to keep learning. Regardless of what our kids do when they grow up, whether they go into medicine, business, politics, or the arts, knowing how to build technology will give them confidence and a competitive edge.

diy Fitness for Kids
A 2015 study, published in the Pediatrics journal, revealed that 97% of children under four years of age have used a mobile device. This statistic supports a growing stigma that today’s kids are addicted to technology, increasingly inactive, and more prone to attention difficulties. GoNoodle is designed to shift the paradigm by transforming the way kids learn, take action, and experience education through entertainment.
GoNoodle designs mobile games, interactive activities, and kid-friendly entertainments to provide “brain breaks” that promote physical activity, active learning, heightened engagement, and enhanced focus.
GoNoodle is used in over 600,000 elementary classrooms, and now over 12 million kids are actively engaged each month, running, jumping, dancing, and stretching across 175 countries worldwide.
GoNoodle CEO and Co-Founder Scott McQuigg wanted to change the way kids learn in the classroom and design and design an integrated world where technology and mobile devices educate and empower young people to live better, more active, lives. While they are huge advocates of traditional outdoor play, they also believe that technology has to be apart of the solution to restore movement to kids’ daily lives. They are hoping to create a world where “technology” isn’t synonymous with “sedentary.” They believe that technology isn’t going anywhere, and they’re trying to turn screen time into active time, replacing sedentary video consumption with movement.

DIY Languages for kids
Duolingo Kids is a fun and effective way for kids to learn different languages. With the interactive speaking challenges, kids will be encouraged to produce and then speak entire sentences on their own. The earlier kids start their language-learning journey, the more likely they are to reach proficiency.
